Laura, Vittorio`s girlfriend, receves a call from board via satellite
phone, and Vittorio informs her that the oat has just turned over
because of a particularly high breaking wave that reached the boat from
the side. Laura calls Antonio and and they both run to the Capitaneria
di porto of Porto Torres to launch the alert to Rome headquarters. After
an our Vittorio calls again Antonio and informs him that the mast is
broken and any solution to the problem seems impossible.
The  EPIRB  is ready to be activated in case the satellite phone should
not work, and the  raft  is ready for use in case they should have to
leave the boat. Weather condtion at the tme being are extremely
prohibitive and with a 50 knots wind blowing from South West and a *****
Counications are possible only via satellite phone because all the
antennas, including VHF radio and the GPS, were uprooted. It`s still
night and a complete damage evaluation has to wait some hours. Piero
and  Vittorio were lucky to be belowdeck at the moment of the turnover.
Everything append really fast and in a few moments the boat was already
in position. The hull showed any leak and water didn`t make its way
inside the boat. All the hatches hung in.
As soon as the Capitaneria di Porto Torres received the news that it was
impossible to govern the boat informed Rome headquarters which begun the
rescue procedures.


April 5th  22:45 :
Piero and Vittorio comunicate with Rome headquarters to give the
coordinates and inform them of their psico-fisic conditions. They
estabilish hourly comunications and  all the other contacts apart from
the two sailors and  the  authorites are forbidden. In the meantime the
New Zeland research center has been informed and tryes to contact them.

April 6th  00:00 :
They receive the message that a tanker has been diverted toward them.
It`s about 1000 miles far  which means about 2 or  3 days of sailing.

April 8th 12:34 utc:

The ship hellespont troouper is now very close to OnitronI-Autoprestige and can see the boat.
we are weating to know when the 2 sailors will be on board of the ship.
